Replace the print ribbon cartridge

1 Place the ribbon cartridge onto the ribbon cartridge supports, and

press down until it clicks into place (see Figure 2-16).

2 Close the swing arm, pressing it down until the push latch clicks

into place.

3 To close the cover, lift the top slightly. Move the support up so it is

parallel with the hinges, and lower the cover.

4 If you are installing the print ribbon for the first time be sure to

print a printer test card after installing the printer driver. (See

“Making and evaluating test cards” on page 2-29 for more

information.)
