Freeing the Serial Communication Port for ID Works Printing:
The following steps remove the lock from the serial port, allowing ID
Works applications to communicate with the System.
1 Open the Printers folder by clicking Start, then Settings, and
then Printers.
2 Right-click the Card Personalization System in the list and select
Properties from the menu. The screen will look something like
the following:
3 On the Ports tab of the Properties dialog box, select FILE. You
will see something similar to the following dialog box:
